2. Data We Collect

  • Name, email, phone number, and WhatsApp contact.
  • Payment information (processed by Paystack or PayPal; we do not store full card numbers).
  • Booking and scheduling data (trial lessons, package purchases)
  • Lesson data: session recordings, progress notes, assessment results, submitted writing or speaking samples.
  • Communication data: messages sent through WhatsApp, email, or in-platform chat⁣
  • Technical data: IP address, browser type, device type, cookies

3. Children’s Data

3SEnglishPro offers lessons for children and teens under 18.

  • Account creation and enrollment for any student under 18 requires consent from a parent or legal guardian.
  • The parent or guardian is the account holder of record for minor students.
  • Parents may request access to, correction of, or deletion of their child’s data at any time by contacting hello@3senglishpro.com
  • We do not knowingly collect data directly from children without parental involvement in the enrollment process.
  • Lessons involving minors may be recorded for quality assurance and safeguarding purposes. Recordings are retained only as needed for safety review and are not used for marketing without separate parental consent.

4. How We Use Data

  • To deliver booked lessons and coaching sessions
  • To process payments and issue receipts
  • To track student progress and personalize lesson plans
  • To communicate booking confirmations, reminders, and support responses
  • To improve lesson content and platform performance

5. Third Parties

We may share data with:

  • Payment processors: Paystack, PayPal
  • Video conferencing tools used to deliver live lessons
  • AmazingTalker (for students booking through that platform; AmazingTalker’s own privacy policy governs data on their platform)

We do not sell student or customer data to third parties.

6. International Data Transfers

3SEnglishPro is based in Johannesburg, South Africa, and serves students internationally. Data may be processed in South Africa or other countries where our service providers operate. By using our services, users consent to this transfer.

7. Data Retention

  • Lesson records and progress data are retained for the duration of active enrollment plus 24 months, for continuity of coaching and dispute resolution.
  • Payment records are retained as required by applicable tax and financial regulations.
  • Users may request earlier deletion; some records may be retained where required by law.

8. Security

We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal data. No system is fully secure; we cannot guarantee absolute protection against unauthorized access.

9. Data Breach Notification⁣

In the event of a security compromise affecting personal data, 3SEnglishPro will notify the Information Regulator and affected users within a reasonable time, as required under POPIA.

10. Direct Marketing Consent

3SEnglishPro will only send direct marketing communications (email, WhatsApp promotions) with your opt-in consent, as required under POPIA Section 69. You may withdraw consent at any time by contacting hello@3senglishpro.com.

14. Currency & Cross-Border Fees

Prices are listed in local currency where applicable. Payments processed through Paystack or PayPal from a different currency or country may incur conversion fees or foreign transaction fees charged by the user’s bank or card issuer. 3SEnglishPro does not control or receive these fees.

15. Cookies

Our website may use cookies for basic functionality and analytics. Users can control cookie settings through their browser.

16. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy periodically. The “Last updated” date reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
